Camel ride with the bedouins. I’m getting to know my camels. After this ride we had a night time bedoiun with a great bedoin guide Amjad. He was so great. He told us “you have to read the desert like a book”. he showed us all the different tracks you can read in the desert, lizard, rabbit, fox. Then he built a little fire out of twigs and made tea and smoked cigarettes while we looked at the stars. Great guy. We had so much fun

Bethlehem

IMG_20190804_132156
This is the “exact spot”, here in Bethlehem, where Jesus was born. There’s an altar over a marble floor and a little hole in the floor where you reach down and touch the actual rock where he was born. This is Paul and Victoria in the picture. I’m sorry to say I was a little disappointed… I really was expecting something resembling a manger with some hay, a little basket, maybe a donkey or a lamb or something like that. O well. I guess I will just have to dismantle yet another fairytale from childhood.
